And so it begins...
So 2014 has started and if I'm honest I've had better starts to a new year. After pulling my hamstring a couple hours into the year, to finding out a good friend of mines mother had passed away, going to the dentist, the funeral, missing my nephews birthday party and to finding out a date when I'll quite likely be starting back to work.
But that's the negatives, there are a lot of positives in there as well such as the rallying of friends for another, the great new years I had, the dentist was free with being on ESA and the work needed done anyway and not having to listen to a bunch of screaming kids when I wasn't 100% and finding out a date when I'll quite likely be starting back to work (I know this was in the negatives too)
Essentially 2014 has been "normal", not your usual normal, but my normal where it's one problem after another such as when my final chemo cycle was finally up, two days later I was sick and even now have not recovered completely and am seemingly picking up a few more problems as well, such as being warm and cold at the same time, sore heads, throat, neck and being really tired and grumpy because of it. I think the only reason I am being grumpy is that I've got used over the last 6-7 months of feeling ok, but it's times like this were I realise just how crap I felt before the whole chemo thing which was just normal and now it seems to be returning to the way it was.
I don't mind this at all as it kept me in check and the last while I feel I have not quite been what I want to be and have "calmed down" more this year so far, mostly.
But enough of all this, the good stuff, don't really have much to say, since it's been a while since I've updated and forgot about most of the things and couldn't be bothered going down my twitter timeline for the prompts I leave myself. Haven't been out for walks much but started again the last few days. Been reading more again and finally finished the Hunger Games Trilogy and will be starting on Commander Hadfield's book which Katie sent me along with a lovely card and some chocolates!
Been doing a lot of sleeping too, having long lie ins and been on the PS4 playing that a fair bit especially Need For Speed Rivals which I have got err quite good at and also to 97% of the trophies and just need a "friend" to play with the get the last 2 and then the platinum one too to get 100%. So really most of the stuff I have been doing has not been that interesting for a spectator, but I've enjoyed it so you can think whatever.
I've also been having some quiet drinks with my friends too, nothing too special, but Winnie introduced me to Frisland and we had a bit of a discussion about that with the use of Google maps and a few websites, but it sparked such an interest for me that I ordered a book that has a section about this mysterious island in it, to be honest I don't think it will inform me any more than what we had already mentioned but it might surprise me. It also has other islands that have disappeared and the story surrounding them.
Another thing that has been sparked, which I always had an interest in, but never followed it up and that was watching the NHL, so I have began to watch that on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon, thanks Googs for that.
I think I've basically covered most things.... oh aye got my scan on the 7th of February so won't find out anything for a few weeks after that but I'm sure it will all be good, getting my specs back with new lenses later in the week and going to the detist again.
Well have a good night and I promise the next one will be not as long away.
