Dragging on

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing well. I’m stuck in a rut at the moment and been putting off a few things in the expectation of having to go into hospital due to my infection. Over the last few weeks pretty much every evening I’ve been getting a temperature spike but never really high enough to be phoning the hospital about. In the mornings I need to have a good clear out of the lungs which isn’t the most pleasant thing to do every morning but it does make it a lot easier to breathe after.

The last few weeks I’ve been at hospital, with a few extra hospital appointments, I’ve been bringing my overnight bag each time in the expectation to be kept in, which at this point I think I would now prefer to finally properly get rid of this infection properly rather than just killing it down a bit and then it flaring up again. The antibiotics that I’ve been on have worked but they’ve had their side effects and then when I come off them it comes back again. Due to the infection, I haven’t been going out for any walks, I’ve just been too tired and too sore.

The couple of weeks I’ve tried to start walking again, only a short walk and only takes a maximum of thirty minutes, I was just able to do this a few times but was always pretty wrecked after. After a few times I seem to have damaged my hip though, it feels like the bone. Nothing extremely bad but I know it’s not something I want to push, so I cut the walk down to a ten-minute walk, which has been a real struggle to push myself to do. As I’ve been walking with a bit of a limp, I now seem to have done something to my groin which is now really sore. When I put weight on my leg I get a sharp pain, I seem to be ok going down stairs but going up them is a real struggle and have ended up crawling up them.

Going to the shop I’ve been limiting to small shops so I don’t have to carry much to the house, but then I have more shops to do. Which in itself isn’t ideal. Another thing over the last few of weeks is my nose, I was looking it up and I think it might be called hyperosmia. The hospital have never had any interest in it like most things that aren’t directly to do with them, it’s got to a point now though that I have to do something about it. Two weeks ago, I was really sensitive to scents and my nose was constantly tingly and running and in conjunction with the cough I was extra bunged up and coughing more.

Eventually it seemed to settle a bit but over the weekend again after getting my clothes done in the dry cleaners, they seem to have used something different and I could smell the detergent off it and this time with what they have used it has made me incredibly tired, this happened before as well, it makes me incredibly drowsy and constantly falling asleep, it’s incredibly irritating but when it comes to the night’s sleep, I still seem to get a good sleep.

And yet more, I’ve been dehydrated the last few times I’ve been at hospital, I always thought I was drinking enough but they wanted me to drink pretty much twice as much. I’ve been bad enough running to the toilet so I expect to be running to the toilet even more. I’ve been having tension headaches or at least that’s what I thought they were but they may be due to the dehydration and I’m quite sure the nose thing contributes to it as well.

I’m sure there are other things that have been going on too but I can’t think of them now, it just seems to be one thing after another and another, it would be nice to just have at least one normal day. Right now I’m probably feeling as rough as I have for a long time, nose is tingling, legs are sore, head is sore, chest is sore, coughing, throat is sore and trying to psych myself up to go for the short walk.
